A couple of months ago a friend from work had this cute bracelet on with a Viv Westwood orb on it. I was curious as to where she got it from and she introduced me to Amy McSkully on instagram.

She makes the weirdest jewellery that I have seen in a while. And we all know that weird is wonderful to me!

The Glasgow based Jewellery Company specialises in kitsch little items which are light on the pocket but heavy on fashion impact! I had a snoop and swooped on an eye catching black Perspex bumble bee necklace. It really did attract my attention and I couldn’t resist the urge so I grabbed it and ran! (Not before paying obviously). With free P&P to the UK, it arrived within a couple of days. It was literally a little piece of treasure in my post box. Wrapped flatteringly in pretty paper I was even more surprised to find I had been given a free bead bracelet! (Thanks Amy!).
The Perspex bee is on a quality silver chain and doesn’t feel cheap or vulgar. It really feels like a unique one off. One of those necklaces that people ask about. I thought it worked well to give a bit of edge to my dress.

jewellery. I believe it was through Instagram. I clicked on the link to
the website and immediately thought 'this is awesome!'. I love bold,
interesting, and unique jewellery despite not owning much of it! So I
was very happy to find Amy's website.
The site itself is well designed - you can view the products full name
and price by hovering over an image with your mouse. The colour scheme
is good and does not distract from the jewellery while still retaining a
unique feel. It's a site that I could use for a long time without any
eye strain or problems.
The packaging itself was wonderful - everything was secure, well wrapped
and bubble wrapped, and you could tell it had a lot of thought put into
it.

The jewellery itself - everything is very well designed and solidly built. The handbag is made from a gorgeously soft faux leather, and I adore the logo. The bracelets feel very strong, unlike other bracelets made from elastic. They use beautiful colour combinations and just look really pretty! The earrings are brilliant too, I love the diamond design and the drips just make it look even better - you can tell the design has been thought about.
All the items from McSkully are well priced, and in my opinion, worth more than you pay for them! I am very impressed with everything - from the quick, free postage, the delightful packaging, to the lovely products themselves.
There are plenty of other items on McSkully which I would love to purchase, the serotonin necklace being a particular favourite of mine. Hopefully I will be able to place another order soon. There aren't a lot of companies that I can certainly say I would re-order from, but McSkully is one of them.

I absolutely love kitsch fruit jewellery popular among many celebrities including the lovely Katy Perry, so I had to have these two bracelets! I also picked out these cute rings, one with a panda face on and one with fruit on! they were adjustable so could be worn on any finger and as a normal ring or midi! possibilities are endless (;
My last item was a pair of faux chanel earrings! these are super cute and look so high quality! we don’t all have a superstars bank balance so these are a great substitute.
My items arrived the day after I ordered them! I was very impressed with the delivery and they were packed beautifully in a pink bag and gift wrapped inside!
As I was unwrapping the paper I was filling up with excitement to see my new jewellery! I was impressed with how well presented they were in a little packet with some lovely leaflets about McSkully.com with discount codes! (at the bottom) The first thing I noticed when getting my new jewellery out the packets was that they were very high in quality. I have bought a few bits of kitsch jewellery on Ebay in the past and quality has been very poor and its broken very easily. Hey Everyone!
So today I unintentionally went for a rather lady like look! I knew I needed to wear my new bargain Primark dress! (£7 to be exact!) I had not yet tried it on so wasn’t entirely sure how it would look, as you can see its a rather lady like get up! Especially with my Fearne Cotton @ Very shrug! I Seem to be a little obsessed with wearing that at the moment!

After writing an article in the magazine Source, in which I mentioned Amy, the mastermind behind McSkully
- she very kindly sent me some goodies that I thought I would tell you a
little bit about because I'm completely in love with them and Amy's
entire range of jewellery for that matter!
McSkully is
basically a kitch online jewellery store where the whole ethos of the
store is about creating unique, interesting designs that are amazing to
look at but also affordable. I've been friends with Amy for a while and
have loved her work for a long time. I had one of her unique phone cover
designs for ages which I completely loved - so if you're thinking about
getting a new phone cover, you should check the website out as it isn't
just bling for you, but for your iPhone too!
As a thank
you gift for writing about her, Amy was amazing enough to send me two
pieces from her collection. The first thing I opened was the Snitch
necklace which I absolutely love. If you know me, or have been reading
my blog for a while I'm sure I'll have mentioned by slight obsession
(since childhood, may I add) of Harry Potter. I'm a bit of a Potter geek
